  • Disadvantages – Correlation of +0.04 between more external links and high ranking, this disproves the belief held by some that external linking will hurt your ranking

Strategy 2 – External linking

  • Advantages – Great for outreach. By linking out, you could get linked back, add value to content, may add contextual signals for Google, good SEO’s do it, though you must be careful with anchor text (don’t use anchor text for the keywords you’re site is targeting)
