Choice Architecture

The website ‘architect’ can provide the website user with certain choices to make on their website, and influence them towards the preferred choice by making it the easier option. For example, provide users with the choice to donate or link to your site, but suggest donating first.

Anchoring

Showing the impact of what other people on the site have done or contributed is another method. For example, 6000 people have donated a total of $4500. When people see these numbers, they want to belong to the group by also contributing.
