Rhea Drysdale takes over the Whiteboard this week, to discuss the difference between vendors and consultants. This difference is the level of involvement in their client’s business.
The role of a vendor is mainly just to provide specialized skills that the business requests and is usually based around specific projects.
Consultants on the other hand are more involved with the business as a whole, making recommendations based of the business’ goals, liaising between departments to implement strategies and even allocating resources.
Its important business entrust consultants with access to their data so they can be as effective as possible.
